Kevin Mandolese's career and early life

Mandolese was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Mandolese attended Cape Breton University and majored in marketing while playing in the QMJHL. Prior to being selected by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, he played minor hockey with Collège Esther-Blondin in the Québec midget AAA league (QMJHL).

In a 5-3 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders on October 9th, 2016, he earned his first victory in the QMJHL. His performance earned him a spot on the Screaming Eagles for the 2017-18 campaign.

Kevin Mandolese had a goals-against average of 3.46 and an 884 save percentage in his sophomore season. Additionally, he was selected to compete for Team Canada at the under-17 and under-18 levels internationally.

For his fourth and final season with the Screaming Eagles, Mandolese joined them once more in 2019–20. After Marc-André Fleury and Olivier Roy, he had a breakout season during the abbreviated season and played in his 150th regular-season game for the Screaming Eagles.

Kevin Mandolese was given a transfer to the Belleville Senators, an American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Senators, once the league resumed for the postponed 2020–21 season. Mandolese made his professional debut in a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Marlies at the Canadian Tire Center after playing in just two games.

On February 14th, 2023, when the Senators played the New York Islanders on Long Island, Mandolese started his first NHL game. To secure a 3-2 victory in a shootout, he turned away 46 of 48 shots on goal.
