"Congratulations Eric, well deserved! There is a new article by Luke DeCock that has a lot of information about how the Canes are run, and it has a ton of quotes from Tulsky himself about the upcoming off-season. One of the better articles I've read recently," a fan tweeted.
"Cant wait for this guy to sign people based on analytics alone and miss the playoffs because “analytics don’t lie!!” Very odd hire to me, but I sit at a desk and not in an nhl front office so what do I know!" Another fan twteeted.

Eric Tulsky received a promotion and becomes Carolina Hurricanes new GM

Eric Tulsky became the Carolina Hurricanes' GM after Don Waddell resigned on May 24 and joined the Columbus Blue Jackets. Tulsky has held the assistant GM position for Canes since 2020.

Carolina Hurricanes Owner Tom Dundon spoke about Tulsky after the promotion announcement.

"Eric is ready for this opportunity," Dundon said. "He has a proven history of managing people and overseeing operations both outside of hockey and over the last decade with the Hurricanes. His dedication, work ethic and attention to detail make him the ideal candidate to become our next general manager.

The Hurricanes finished second in the Metropolitan Division and reached the playoffs for the sixth straight year. Tulsky will have players to sign before this approaching free agency on July 1st. Rod Brind'Amour has signed a five-year contract, so now the Carolina Hurricanes will focus on their offseason team adjustments.
