In 2015, after Mike Comrie's inebriated night at a well-known LA restaurant, it didn't seem like Hilary Duff and the former NHL player would be back together anytime soon.
Mike wasn't just out for a night of drinking. He wanted to get laid. He was prepared to pay for it as well. According to the Daily Mail, the retired hockey star spent the majority of the evening on January 30 drinking, alienating his friends, and proposing s*x to patrons and staff.
A staff member at the restaurant said that when Mike and a friend arrived around 9.00 p.m., they were shown their private reserved table in the cocktail lounge of the Mastro's on the second floor.
Mike was obviously already inebriated on arrival. Even though it was only nine o'clock at night, he was already striding funny and speaking slurredly.
Further, the hockey star was drinking the entire evening. People who were at the restaurant said: "Mike simply wouldn't stop his flirtation. It got a little unsettling. His friend even attempted to calm him down a bit."
Mike was so drunk that he frequently complimented his server on how lovely she was. Mike resisted going to his seat. Instead, he took several hundred dollars out of his wallet.
Things took a serious turn when Mike asked some unacceptable questions from the bartender. He said:
"Ok, the amount? What amount do you desire? I have everything you require. How much is intimacy going to cost? Set the amount. How much would you pay for us to have s*x?"
Later, Mike turned aggressive when the woman's date protested, saying that Mike had overstepped his boundaries and should back off. By that time he should've stopped, but he started arguing with him. Mike pushed past the man and yelled:
"Come on. both of us. Step outside with me."
Home security intervened to prevent the scenario from getting worse. When security approached Mike, he asserted his sobriety and said he was hanging out with pals. He even claimed to be the authorized driver for his friends that night and to be completely sober.
The chances of Mike and his wife getting together diminished immensely after this incident. But they stayed incredibly close and devoted to their son, Luca.
