When Jarret Stoll's wife Erin Andrews commented about her departure from the show Dancing with the Stars

Erin Andrews was an intergral part of Dancing with the Stars.

Jarret Stoll is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. He has previously played for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, and Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League and won the Stanley Cup twice with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014. He is also the husband of prominent sports presenter Erin Andrews.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Stoll's wife, Erin Andrews, 42, opened up about her feelings about her departure from the show.

When one fan inquired about her feelings towards Banks, 46, she stated:

"It will be a challenge to step into [Andrews and Bergeron's] shoes on Dancing With the Stars. I think Tom's shoes are a little harder to fill. He's the quarterback in the locker room. She was nice, but he's the man, and he was the man on that show."

The former College Gameday host added:

“I think the challenge is stepping into shoes. I mean, you know, Tom Bergeron and Erin. They lead the show, and this is one of the top-rated shows in the world. So [I’m] respecting the stage that they have set and then adding my icing to that. I feel confident about that, but of course, it’s a challenge, but I don’t back away from challenges.”

Jarret Stoll's NHL career and stats

Jarret Stoll's career has been defined by Stanley Cup victories and outstanding faceoff performances.

The forward from Melville, Saskatchewan, won the Stanley Cup with the Los Angeles Kings in 2012 and 2014, and he also helped lead the Edmonton Oilers to the Finals in 2006. He is widely regarded as one of the best faceoff men of his generation.

The player was selected by the Calgary Flames in the second round (No. 46) of the 2000 NHL Draft but did not sign a contract. After re-entering the draft in 2002, he was selected in the second round, this time by Edmonton at No. 36.

Jarret Stoll scored his first NHL goal in his sixth game, leading Edmonton to a 5-4 victory over the New York Rangers. He scored again in Edmonton's next game against Boston and appeared in all 68 games for the Oilers the rest of the way, finishing with 10 goals and 21 points in 68 games.

Jarret Stoll spent the 2004-05 NHL lockouts with Edmonton in the American Hockey League before returning to play a key role against the surprising 2005-06 Oilers.

He appeared in all 82 games that season, scoring 22 goals and finishing third on the team with 68 points and had four goals and ten points in 24 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The player was traded to the Los Angeles Kings after two more seasons of double-digit goal totals and faceoff win percentages of at least 55% with Edmonton. He has had three straight 40-point seasons and failed to win at least 55% of his faceoffs only once in seven seasons.

While Jarret Stoll's offense slowed towards the end of his time with the Kings, he contributed when it mattered most. He scored two game-winning goals in the first round against Vancouver during the Kings' run to the Stanley Cup in 2012.

Stoll had an assist in the Kings' Stanley Cup-clinching Game 6 victory over the New Jersey Devils that season and also had one in Game 5 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, when the Kings defeated the New York Rangers.
