Which team does Brad Marchand have beef with? Bruins superstar reveals all

Boston Bruins star Brad Marchand is one of the best wingers in the NHL. Much like his reputation on the ice, Marchand is notorious for causing a stir on social media.

In an interview with 'Yahoo! Sports', Marchand discussed the recent comments he made on Instagram about Edmonton hosting the 2025 NHL All-Star game.

"Lol can't wait to see how many guys boycott that game" - wrote @bmarch63 on a @puckempire post about the 2025 NHL All-Star game candidates.

He clarified that he was only joking when he posted that:

"I didn’t realise how upset fans in Edmonton would get after the all star comment. I was joking. I think Edmonton is phenomenal. I think anytime you have a Canadian fan base, they are very passionate about their team. So you are going to catch a lot of heat."

He was also asked which team he feels has the most overwhelming fan base in the league. He answered the Toronto Maple Leafs. Marchand addressed the intense pressure and criticism Leafs players have to endure on a daily basis from fans and the media.

"Toronto fans are probably I’d say the most dominant fan base in Canada. So they can get pretty overwhelming. At times actually, even the players get overwhelmed with how much media backlash and fan backlash they get at times as well.
"If their guys are getting sick of it, then sometimes it can get a little overwhelming but it's all just social media. It's not a big deal."

Brad Marchand has appeared in 48 games for the Bruins this season. He has recorded 17 goals and 32 assists.

Brad Marchand is an absolute savage on social media

Brad Marchand has been involved in a variety of controversies. He was recently at the center of a social media controversy. It all started with the Instagram post from Puck Empire that was mentioned above.

However, this was not the first time that the Bruins' star has caused drama on social media. In February, Marchand inserted him into a controversy when he tweeted "Shut your pie hole Craig" to Arizona Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan. Morgan was reporting on a spat between Anaheim Ducks star Trevor Zegras and Coyotes player Troy Stecher.

"The Hockey News" reporter Jacob Stoller asked Marchand about his tweet directed at Morgan. He described Marchand's response as 'weird'.

Brad Marchand did not back down and replied to Stoller:

"I’m sorry you didn’t like my answer Jacob; Would you like me to say something different so you don’t have something so stupid to hang your career on? Great reporting this am!!"
