Who is Tomas Kaberle? Meet Luke Schenn's old teammate who is now his neighbor

Boston Bruins v Vancouver Canucks - Game Seven
Tomas Kaberle is now Luke Schenn's neighbor

Luke Schenn, the Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman, recently settled into Toronto. He was pleasantly surprised to find out that his former teammate, Tomas Kaberle, is now his neighbor. The two players were teammates for Luke's first three seasons in the NHL with the Maple Leafs. Kaberle played a crucial role in Schenn's development as a young player.

Schenn described Kaberle as a mentor and a true professional, saying that he taught him a lot about the game and helped him adjust to life in the NHL. Now that they're neighbors, Kaberle is once again taking care of Schenn and showing him the lay of the land in Toronto.

Schenn's return to the Maple Leafs has brought back memories of his first go-around with the team, and he's seen glimpses of his past all around him. When he first stepped into Scotiabank Arena after the trade, the first person he saw was another former Leafs teammate, Nik Antropov, who is now a skating consultant with the team. In his first home game back with the team, the Maple Leafs wore their alternate St. Pats green and white jerseys.

Schenn is yet to experience wearing the team's home blue jersey. In his first two home games back with the team, the Maple Leafs have worn alternate jerseys. First, the St. Pats green and white, then the black flipside jerseys, part of an ongoing cross-promotion with Justin Bieber.

Despite not yet getting the chance to wear the team's traditional home jersey. Schenn is excited to be back with the Maple Leafs and is looking forward to contributing to the team's success in any way he can. With Kaberle as his neighbor and mentor, and a playoff run on the horizon, Schenn's return to Toronto is shaping up to be an exciting chapter in his career.
