NHL fans on social media reacted as Mika Zibanejad recorded the lowest time on ice as a Rangers player.

During the Blueshirts' 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, Mika Zibanejad logged only 13:04 of ice time, marking his lowest total since Oct. 27, 2019, when he left a game due to injury.

Notably, the last time he completed a game with less ice time was nearly 10 years ago, when he played just 12:40 while turning out for the Ottawa Senators.

Here's how fans on X/Twitter reacted to Mika Zibanejad's ice time, with one posting:

"Good. He deserved that. I just wonder if he’s going to be OK. He’s sensitive and may need a safe space to come to grips with this treatment. Will he pout and cry? Or will he man up and play hard for a change?"

Another chimed in:

"Cuylle should have been on in last two minutes instead of Mika. Lavi has to play him more! Might be our best forward now."

Here are some of the other top reactions on X:

"End of an era so crazy it didnt end how we all thought," a second fan said.
"He should've been the healthy scratch instead of Kakko," one opined.
"And rightfully so. His TOI next game should be 0. He stinks. Lindy and Fox should be next as well. Soft as a twinkle Fox is and terrible plays by both," another commented.
"Why was he out there the last two minutes offered nothing," another commented.

Mika Zibanejad and the Rangers lose for the 10th time in 13 games

The Rangers lost for the 10th time in their last 13 games following their defeat to the Blues on Sunday.

The club has posted a 15-4-1 record and sits fifth in the Metro standings, only two points clear of bottom-placed Columbus Blue Jackets.

"It's been the same story, right? Just kind of one and done in the O-zone, haven't sustained many cycles, many shifts with sustained pressure to make them defend. Just kind of comes right back at us and bites us in the ass," Adam Fox said of Rnagers defense."

Mika Zibanejad has racked up 21 points through six goals and 15 assists in 30 games this season. The Rangers will look to bounce back from a tough stretch when they face off with the Nashville Predators away on Tuesday.
