NHL fans react as Golden Knights extend game invite to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

NFL star Travis Kelce has never been shy about admitting how much he loves hockey. During a recent appearance at a Gatorade-sponsored NFL event, Kelce sent a shout-out to the Vegas Golden Knights.

"Shout out to the Knights, man. Shout out the Knights," Kelce said.

His words were met with an open invitation from the NHL club on X (formerly Twitter).

"Standing invite to come to The Fortress whenever you’re in town and we have a massive playoff game."

Pleasantries notwithstanding, fan reactions quickly poured in.

This fan had some choice words for Travis Kelce:

"You realize Vegas and Kansas city are rivals right."

This other fan chimed in, reminding the Golden Knights of the Raiders-Chiefs rivalry:

"You’re not serious right!!! Maybe you should check the fact every Raider fan in history absolutely despises anyone and everyone that has been a Chef. Don’t show up."

This fan didn’t pull any punches.

"I guess y’all had to fail sometime."

Some fans showed their genuine excitement at the idea of Kelce and Swift catching a Golden Knights game:

"Make it happen for me & I will faint right then & there," a fan commented.

This fan couldn't contain their excitement.

"Knights are Swifties? Knew I picked the right team."

A fan supported the invitation from the club.

"I support this invite! Love it!"

The Golden Knights will take on the Dallas Stars in Game 3 of their first-round series later tonight.

Travis Kelce is not the only NFL star into hockey

Travis Kelce is not the only NFL player who loves hockey.

Houston Texans' former defensive end JJ Watt has shown his passion for hockey. Watt, known for his impressive athleticism on the football field, has also demonstrated great hockey skills.

In March, Watt brought out his hockey gear and hit the ice at Mullet Arena.

The Pro Bowl DE showcased his hockey talents on social media.

"First time in a year, second tie in the last 6-7 years," Watt wrote on X.

Having grown up in Wisconsin, Watt played hockey since three. However, he showed great skill on the gridiron, leading him to a successful NFL career.
