Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski is all set to tie the knot with his fiancee Odette Peters. The couple got engaged in May 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
Odette was recently in New York shopping for the perfect wedding dress. On Saturday, she posted pics and a short video from her trip on her Instagram Story. The first post shows Odette examining different dresses on a rack at a fashion dress shop while holding a glass of champagne. The video is captioned:
“NEW YORK, NEW YORK @galialahav.”
The next post in the montage shows Odette outside Jaxon James Couture Bridal’s store in the Big Apple. She’s holding up a sign that reads:
“I said Yes! Jaxon James Bride”
The post caption reads:
She’s a JJNY bride @odette_peters! #JaxonJamesNYC.”
The third and final post is a photo of a handwritten congratulatory note which came along with a complimentary bottle of champagne and some treats.
“O, Cheers to a great few days in the city and to finding your dress.” it reads.
In the caption, Odette thanks her friends and expresses her love for them.
Odette and Zach have been together for a long time; they celebrated their seventh anniversary in September 2024.
Zach, who has played his entire professional career since 2015 with the Blue Jackets, signed a six-year, $57.5-million contract with them in 2021.
Meredith Gaudreau gushes about Zach Werenski and Odette Peters’ wedding invite
Meredith, the wife of late Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau, on Dec. 13 shared an Instagram post giving followers a sneak peek of Zach and Odette’s wedding invitation.
“Oh my 😍. Wedding yearrrrr is upon us! 🙌 she wrote in the caption.
Zach and Johnny were good friends as well as teammates, and both he and Odette have reached out to support Meredith after Johnny was tragically killed in a road accident on Aug. 29. Zach and Odette are frequent visitors to Meredith’s house and spend time with Johnny’s kids as well.
Odette has also shared social media posts and pics chronicling the close relationship she and Zach shared with Meredith and Johnny.
