Where to watch the NHL All-Star Game?

The NHL All-Star Weekend is an annual event organized by the National Hockey League in which the top players of the league participate in a series of Skills Competitions and the All-Star Game. The event is a festival for hockey enthusiasts that typically takes place in the middle of the NHL regular season, most probably in late January or early February. The NHL All-Star Weekend 2024 will commence from February 1 and will last till February 3, at the Scotiabank Arena, in Toronto, Ontario.

The weekend will commence on February 1, Thursday, with the NHL All-Star Player Draft where the captains will select the players for the All-Star Game. On February 2, Friday, the skills competition will take place, where the players showcase their talent and skills in fun competitions like stick handling, accuracy shooting and many more fun-filled competitions. On February 3, Saturday, the NHL All-Star Game will take place. The victor team will be getting $1 million in prize money which will be going to a charity of the team's choosing.

NHL All-Star Game Channels

The following channels will be showcasing the NHL All-Star Weekend:

  • The All-Star draft will be broadcast on ESPN2, SN, CBC and TVAS at 3 p.m. ET

  • The NHL All-Star Skills Competition will be shown on ESPN

  • The All-Star Game will be shown on ABC

In short, the fans will have access to watch the event on multiple channels including live streaming on ESPN+ and Fubo.

NHL All-Star Weekend Date and Time

The NHL All-Star Weekend 2024 is going to take place from February 1, Thursday to February 3, Saturday at the home arena of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Scotiabank Arena.

The first event is scheduled for 6 p.m. (ET) on February 1, Thursday, where the captains will select the players for the All-Star game.

The NHL Skills Competition will take place at 7 p.m. (ET) on Friday, February 2, and the highlight of the weekend, the NHL All-Star Game will be taking place on February 3, Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET).

NHL All-Star Skills Competition Participants

On February 2, Friday, the skills competition will take place, where the players will be showcasing their talent.

All 12 players will participate in four of the first six events. A player will be getting five points for winning an event, four for finishing second, three points for finishing third, two points for finishing fourth and a single point for coming fifth.

The four players with the lowest scores will be evicted at the end of the first six events. The next round would require the remaining eight players to choose a goalie and play the NHL shootout one-on-one game. The point system will be the same.

Only six players will be making the final stage- the NHL obstacle course. The points will be doubled in the final round.

NHL All-Star Game Captains and Celebrity Captains

The captains for the NHL All-Star game are Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Nathan MacKinnon and Jack Hughes with his brother Quinn Hughes.

The celebrities that will take part in the NHL All-Star game are; global star Justin Bieber, Canadian-American actor and comedian Will Arnett, Canadian singer Tate McRae, and Canadian singer and songwriter Michael Bublé.

  • Team Matthews- Auston Matthews will be paired with the global star Justin Bieber. The team will wear Blue All-Star game jerseys

  • Team McDavid- Connor McDavid will be paired with Will Arnett. The team will wear White All-Star jerseys

  • Team MacKinnon- Nathan MacKinnon will be paired with Tate McRae. The team will wear Yellow All-Star jerseys

  • Team Hughes- Quinn Hughes will be paired with Michael Bublé. The team will wear Red All-Star jerseys
