The Art Ross Trophy is bestowed upon the National Hockey League (NHL) player who concludes the regular season as the league's points leader. This prestigious award was generously donated to the NHL by the former player, general manager, and head coach, Art Ross.
Since its inception in the 1947–48 NHL season, the trophy has been awarded 70 times to 29 distinguished players. In addition to his contributions to this accolade, Art Ross is also renowned for designing the official NHL puck, featuring slightly beveled edges to enhance player control.
