The Bruins head coach also shared his thoughts about Ullmark's goal while taking questions from the media.
"Really happy for him...he almost had one earlier in the year and at the Winter Classic..Swayman thought about it one game..it's good to have talented goaltenders," Jim Montgomery said.
"Linus Ullmark scored an empty-net goal, becoming the first Bruins goaltender in franchise history to score a goal. The Bruins defeated the Canucks 3-1 and are on pace for 63 wins and 134 points, both of which would set new NHL single-season records," ESPN tweeted.

What's next for Linus Ullmark and the Boston Bruins?
The Bruins have had a fantastic season and lead the Atlantic Division with 95 points. The Bruins have not lost in their last six games and travel to Edmonton to face the Edmonton Oilers next on Monday, February 27. Given that they have not lost their last six games, they will look to continue their streak with a win in the next game. The team looks perfectly placed to challenge for the Stanley Cup.
Goaltender Linus Ullmark, with 30 wins in 36 starts this season and conceding less than 2 goals per game, will have a big role to play in the game to come. After making his debut with the Buffalo Sabres in the 2015-16 season, Ullmark has played close to 200 games so far. He has spent over 57 minutes on ice with a save percentage of 0.918 in his career. He has conceded just 2.5 goals per game and has won every second game he has played in this period.
The Boston Bruins have played really well this season and have one of the league's most consistent offensive setups, having scored over 210 goals this season with the help of players like David Pastrnak. Also, the defense has also been top-notch allowing just two goals per game this season with Linus Ullmark being at the forefront of it.
