Noah Hanifin is an American professional defenseman currently playing for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL. Drafted fifth overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, he became the youngest player to suit up for Boston College at 17. He made his NHL debut with Carolina on October 8, 2015, against the Nashville Predators. Hanifin scored his first NHL goal in November 2015 against the Anaheim Ducks.

After a strong 2017-18 season with the Hurricanes, he was traded to the Calgary Flames in June 2018 as part of a package for Dougie Hamilton, Micheal Ferland, and Adam Fox. Hanifin played six seasons in Calgary before being traded to the Vegas Golden Knights in a three-way deal in March 2024. Shortly after, he signed an eight-year, $58.8 million contract with Vegas, securing his future with the team. Hanifin’s career includes multiple accolades, including a 2018 NHL All-Star Game spot and a gold at the 2014 World U-17 and U-18 Championships.
