Oliver Bjorkstrand, born on April 10, 1995, is a Danish professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Seattle Kraken in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Columbus Blue Jackets selected him in the third round, 89th overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Hailing from Herning, he made his AL-Bank Ligaen debut with the Herning Blue Fox during the 2011–12 season, leading all 16-year-olds in scoring with 26 points in 36 games. He was then selected by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2012 WHL Draft and joined them for the 2012–13 season. After an impressive rookie campaign, he was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
In his second season with the Winterhawks, he signed a three-year contract with the Blue Jackets and finished the season as the third-highest scorer in the league. Bjorkstrand continued to excel, winning the Bob Clarke Trophy for leading the WHL in goals and points during the 2014–15 season.
Bjorkstrand transitioned to the Columbus Blue Jackets' AHL affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters, for the 2015–16 season after a successful third season with the Winterhawks. In 2016, he played with the Lake Erie Monsters. On 22 July 2022, he was traded to the Seattle Kraken in exchange for third-round and fourth-round picks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
