The Ottawa Charge are a professional ice hockey team based in Ottawa, Ontario. They are one of the founding franchises of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They play their home games at TD Place Arena. During free agency, they signed Canadian stars Emily Clark, Brianne Jenner, and Emerance Maschmeyer, followed by the selection of Savannah Harmon as their top pick in the September 2023 PWHL Draft.
The Charge debuted on January 2, 2024, against PWHL Montreal, setting an attendance record of 8,318. Hayley Scamurra scored the franchise's first goal, though the game ended in a 3–2 overtime loss. Ottawa achieved its first victory on January 13 against PWHL Toronto and its first home win on January 23.
