Pittsburgh Penguins vs Edmonton Oilers: Preview
The Penguins are on a three-game losing streak as Pittsburgh has been struggling to keep the puck out of the net as of late.
Starting goalie Tristan Jarry has been the team's third-string goalie and the team sent him back to Pittsburgh so he can get his mind off of hockey because he's struggling so much.
Edmonton, meanwhile, like last season, is off to a slow start. But, goalie Stuart Skinner is starting to turn the corner, which is an encouraging sign for the team.
"I think he played unbelievable," Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm said about Skinner, via NHL.com. "And I told him after game that if he can play close to that, we're going to have a lot of wins coming our way. But I really enjoyed the way he played tonight. He looked calm and composed and he made the saves that we needed."
Edmonton's offense, however, has been surprisingly bad to begin the season, despite all the firepower.
