The NHL Trade Deadline is over. With the dust settled, let's take a look and rank the best trades of the NHL Trade window.

Here are the top 10 trades from the NHL Trade Deadline

1- Timo Meier trade to Devils

The Devils gave up a ton in this 13-piece trade, but none of it really matters, or won’t matter for this season. The Devils gave up a prospect or two and several picks, but compared to their return on a lot of other trades over the deadline, it doesn’t really compare to what Meier will give the Devils a chance at right now, a run to the Stanley Cup finals.

2- Jakub Chychrun trade to Senators

The Senators absolutely FLEECED the Coyotes for maybe the best defenseman at the entire NHL Trade Deadline. The Senators acquired their lockdown defender of the future in just the first two seconds.

3- Max Domi trade to Stars

In one of the more underrated trades leading into deadline day, Max Domi will be a key contributor to the Stars offense and is having a career year. The Stars only had to give up a future second-rounder, a chump change for what Domi could offer the Stars in the aggregate.

4- Dmitry Orlov, Garnet Hathaway trade to Bruins

The Bruins gave up a first-round pick, which was sent immediately to Toronto. Picks won’t mean much when the Bruins have perhaps the most elite blueline group in NHL history, which is what adding Orlov does.

5- Nino Niederreiter traded to Jets

The Jets had their players targeted by this NHL Trade Deadline, and Niederretier was acquired for far less than he should have been. The Predators were sufficient with just a second-round pick, and the Jets didn’t have to give up young talent or current assets.

6- Mattias Ekholm traded to Oilers

The Oilers finally got their man. Even though they had to give up a fan favorite in Tyson Barrie to get him, Ekholm will provide an instant anchor to the OIlers blue line.

7- Patrick Kane traded to Rangers

A win for the Rangers, who added two of their most talented pieces at the NHL Trade Deadline. It only required a second-round pick to do it too. It certainly helps when the player you’re trading for only wants to go to one place.

8- Ryan O’Reilly traded to Leafs

The Leafs broke through with this trade and acquired the perfect piece for the talent and mental makeup of their team. O’Reilly’s leadership is underrated and worth more than anything the Leafs could have given up.

9- Vladimir Tarasenko traded to Rangers

Reuniting Russians Tarasenko and Panarin makes this trade special. It requires a substantial package, and looking at how the rest of the deadline played out, the Rangers might have even overpaid, but it won’t matter if Tarasenko keeps playing like he has the last two weeks.

10-Tanner Jeannot traded to Lightning

Holy overpay Batman! The Lightning gave up practically an entire draft class to acquire Tanner Jeannot, who has had a down year after competing for the NHL Calder Trophy last season. Julien Briesbois has done this before, and there’s no reason it won’t happen again. How much are Tampa Bay draft picks really worth anyway?
