Ryder Ritchie is a Swedish-Canadian junior ice hockey forward who’s presently playing for the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Moreover, he is considered as a top prospect for the upcoming 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Notably, Ritchie was selected as the 14th overall pick in the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft by the Raiders and commenced his junior career the following season. In his rookie season, Ritchie scored 20 goals while recording 35 assists across 61 games for a total of 55 points. Subsequently, he won the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the WHL's rookie of the year.

Moving forward, Ritchie was selected as one of 40 draft-eligible prospects to compete in the 2024 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game but a lower-body injury in December 2023, meant missing game time and several important games. Ritchie later returned after a three-month hiatus and began training and soon made the team sheet. He came and finished the regular season with 44 points across 47 games with a similar per-game rate to his rookie season. This also helped the Prince Albert Raiders to qualify for the WHL playoffs.
