Shane Pinto is an American professional ice hockey center for the Ottawa Senators in the NHL. He was drafted 32nd overall by the Senators, making him the first pick in the second round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Although Pinto started skating at seven, he initially preferred baseball and football over hockey until an injury at 14 shifted his focus entirely to the sport. He spent most of his minor hockey career with the Brooklyn Aviators and later played for South Kent School, where he contributed to a national championship team.

Pinto began his junior career with the Lincoln Stars in the USHL before moving to the Tri-City Storm. He then played for the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in college, where he garnered attention from NHL scouts. After completing his sophomore season, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators in April 2021. Pinto made his NHL debut later that season and scored his first goal in May 2021. He faced challenges with injuries in the following seasons but had a successful 2022-23 season, finishing with 20 goals. In January 2024, he signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators.
