Stuart Skinner is a professional ice hockey goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL. Born on November 1, 1998, in Edmonton, Alberta, Skinner grew up playing minor hockey locally with the South Side Athletic Club. Drafted by the Oilers in the third round (78th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Skinner signed his first entry-level contract in 2018 and made his NHL debut in the 2020-21 season.

Initially, Skinner was expected to back up veteran goalies but quickly took on a starting role due to consistent performance. His impressive play earned him a spot in the 2023 NHL All-Star Game and a Calder Memorial Trophy nomination as Rookie of the Year.
