Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins: Preview
Toronto has struggled in back-to-back games against Columbus and St. Louis
Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said the team made too many mistakes on offense and defense.
“We made mistakes, bottom line. Defensive mistakes,” said Berube, via NHL.com. “Lack of awareness on some of them. For me, we gave them three goals. Shouldn’t happen.”
Toronto's offense has also struggled, as its power play has been one of the worst in the NHL.
Boston, meanwhile, is coming off a loss at home to Dallas as the Bruins gave up too many shots. Boston is on a three-game losing streak as coach Jim Montgomery says the team is making too many mistakes.
“If you’re not focused on habits and details, you’re going to get frustrated,” Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said, via NHL.com. “The margins of error aren’t very big in this league. And we’re on the wrong side right now, and I think our attitudes are driving it.”
Both Toronto and Boston are looking to get back on track after disappointing losses.
Maple Leafs vs Bruins Prediction

Jeremy Swayman, meanwhile, has been solid this season and we could expect Toronto's struggles on offense to continue. Boston will get out to an early lead and hang on to snap its losing streak and get a big win against a divisional rival.
