According to Hockey Canada, Troy Ryan's journey into women's hockey started in the mid-1990s while playing at the University of New Brunswick. Although there wasn't a varsity women's team, he helped with a club team when needed. His formal coaching career took off when he was asked to coach the women’s hockey team for the Canada Winter Games in 2015. The following year, the athletes he coached nominated him for a coaching award, which he won.

Toronto Sceptres General Manager

According to Olympic, Gina Kingsbury became the general manager of the Toronto team in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) in 2023. She was born on November 26, 1981, in Uranium City, Saskatchewan. Kingsbury made her Olympic debut in Turin 2006, registering three assists in five games, and won a gold medal with Team Canada. She returned to the Olympics in Vancouver in 2010, earning another gold medal and tallying three points (three goals, one assist).

Kingsbury's national career spanned from 2000 to 2010, where she participated in six IIHF World Championships, winning three golds (2001, 2004, 2007) and three silvers (2005, 2008, 2009). She also played for the under-22 national team in 2000 and 2003.
