Tyler Toffoli is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger who serves as an alternate captain for the San Jose Sharks in the NHL. He began his career in major junior hockey, where he was drafted seventh overall by the Ottawa 67's in the 2008 OHL Draft and earned a spot on the First All-Rookie Team after his rookie season. In 2010, he was selected 47th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL Entry Draft and signed a three-year entry-level contract with them in 2011.

During his time with the Kings, Toffoli achieved a Stanley Cup victory in 2014 and became the first player to score a hat-trick in an outdoor game in 2020. He has since played for several teams, including the Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, and most recently the New Jersey Devils and Winnipeg Jets, before signing a four-year contract with the Sharks in July 2024. Toffoli achieved a career-high of 34 goals and 73 points during the 2022-23 season.
