The Edmonton Oilers won against the Ottawa Senators. They have now won nine of their last 11 games. It was a record-breaking game for Connor McDavid, who became the second player in the history of the NHL to record more than one point scored in 15+ games for two seasons.
After 12 minutes passed in the second period, Evander Kane and Brady Tkachuk squared up against one another. Both landed a couple of punches onto the other, but Tkachuk was the first to hit the ice. Kane's helmet went flying, at which point the referees had to break it up.

Connor McDavid opened the scoring for the Edmonton Oilers 2 minutes into the game when he banked a wrist shot off the goalie after a deflection from the board.
The Senators pounced onto the Oilers at the start of the second period when Jake Sanderson tied it 1-1, just 21 seconds in. Zach Hyman brought the lead back to the Oilers when he backhanded a penalty shot into the net.
Connor McDavid recorded his first assist of the game when he stole the puck from a defender and laid it off to Ryan McLeod with a beautiful spin backhand pass. McLeod made it 3-1 for the Oilers.
Within 20 seconds of Edmonton's goal, Claude Giroux brought one back for the Senators to make it 2-3. Erik Brannstrom joined the party with his first goal of the season and tied the game at 3-3 heading into the third period.
Jesse Puljajvari put the Oilers back on top with 16:55 left on the clock. Derek Ryan scored his eighth goal of the season with a magnificent snap shot from a Brett Kulak assist, making it his second of the game and giving the Oilers a 5-3 cushion.
Ryan-Nugent Hopkins scored the final goal of the game to make it a 6-3 victory for the Edmonton Oilers. The win pushed the Edmonton Oilers to the No.2 spot in the Pacific Division, behind the Vegas Golden Knights.
Connor McDavid scored one goal and had two assists, amassing three points in this game. It made him the second player in NHL history to have more than one season in which he tallied at least one point in 15+ games.
