The Tampa Bay Lightning lost in OT against the Vegas Golden Knights to mark their third defeat in their last four home games. It was a thrilling encounter as the Lightning made a comeback in the dying minutes of the contest to push the game into overtime.

Tampa Bay Lightning made headlines for the second consecutive game.
The Lightning players got involved in a brawl for the second consecutive game of the season. It all happened during the third period as Pat Maroon and Keegan Kolesar came together after a whistle to start multiple fights, making the situation difficult for officials for several minutes.
It also resulted in a 10-minute misconduct penalty for the five Lightning and five Vegas players, including Maroon.
This was not the end of the game as the Lightning players showed grit and determination to pull back two goals through Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point to end the game scores level in regular time.
Though, it ultimately went in the Knights' favor as Alec Martinez scored in the third minute of the overtime to give his team an important win. NHL Twitter also reacted to it, and here are a few such tweets:
Even though the result on both occasions came differently, the grit and determination shown by the players impressed the coach, Jon Cooper. During the conversation with the media after the game, Cooper praised the team and added that they deserved the one point from the contest. He said:
"It’s the best we’ve played in a while, so I’m glad we got something out of this because we deserved it.”

The Tampa Bay Lightning are placed third in the Eastern Conference Atlantic with 79 points. They have scored over 226 goals in 65 games this season, with 68 goals coming from Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos.
