Pittsburgh Penguins' second-leading goalscorer of the season Evgeni Malkin was tossed out of the game during the Penguins' matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
The incident occurred during the third period of the game, when Evgeni Malkin got himself involved in an argument with the match official. As a result, Malkin received his fourth penalty of the game and a 10-minute misconduct in the process.

Before being ejected, Evgeni Malkin recorded 28 Penalties In Minutes (PIM) during Sunday's game, making him the player with the most penalty minutes in a single-game this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a 4-2 scoreline at the PPG Arena on Sunday.
Rickard Rakell scored the opening goal for the Penguins at 11:40 minutes of the first period with a slap shot. Three minutes later, Rakell scored for the second time from a powerplay to put the team 2-0 up before heading into the second period.
Coming into the second period, Bryan Rust provided the Penguins with a three-goal lead after netting the puck from the backhand in the 13:23 minutes of the second. Ryan Poehling then scored the winning goal at 18:48 of the third period to sail the Pittsburgh Penguins to a comfortable 4-2 win.
Nicolas Deslauries and Travis Konecny were two-goal scorers for the Philadelphia Flyers. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin both recorded two assists each on the night.
It was a must-win game for the Pittsburgh Penguins (38-29-10) as they are now back in second-place in the East Wild Card standings. The team is currently one point ahead of the Florida Panthers (39-31-7) and a point behind the first-placed New York Islanders (39-30-9) in the East Wild Card.
