Dion Phaneuf is a retired Canadian ice hockey defenseman. During his career, he played with the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Los Angeles Kings in the NHL.
Phaneuf is married to Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert. They began seeing each other in 2008, got engaged in September 2012 and then married on July 6, 2013.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2017 and three years later their second child, a son. The couple have been happily married for over nine years and are living their best lives.

Dion Phaneuf began his NHL career with the Calgary Flames, who selected him ninth overall in the 2003 NHL entry draft. He made his NHL debut in 2005, and came into the league as a two-time Western Hockey League defenseman of the year.
Phaneuf played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, and Los Angeles Kings in addition to the Flames. During his NHL career, he was an All-Rookie Team member (2005-06) and a three-time All-Star Game member.
