The NHL All-Star game involves stars from different teams allying up and facing stars from the other teams. This is one of the popular events in NHL seasons every year. The fans of the game choose their favorite stars to play in these games.

NHL players in All-Star games have different experiences. While some of them are veterans of the game, having appeared in numerous All-Star games in the past, others are making their first appearance. Similarly, ages of the players are also considered in the All-Star Games. In the NHL All-Star game teams, while some players are the oldest in their teams, others are considerably younger. However, some of them are the youngest players in their teams. The cooperation between the seniors and the juniors in their respective teams makes the game all the more interesting for watching as they come up with strategies to defeat their opponents.

2024 NHL All-Star Game Youngest Player ?

The youngest player for the 2024 NHL All-Star game is Connor Bedard.

At 18 years and 202 days, Bedard was set to make his All-Star debut as a rookie. Bedard has been one of the most promising rookies in the world of NHL. The Chicago Blackhawks drafted him with the 1st overall pick in the 2023 NHL entry draft.

In just 39 games with the Blackhawks till now, Bedard has scored 15 goals and made 18 assists, thereby earning 33 points in his career so far ( as of February 1, 2024). Unfortunately, he has suffered a broken jaw and hence won't be playing in the All-Star game.

Consequently, Kyle Connor has been named as one of the replacements in the All-Star game. Thus, the Chicago Blackhawks now do not have any members in the 2024 NHL All-Star Game.

Other Youngest Players in the NHL All-Star Games

Connor Bedard is the not the only youngest player to have been declared an All-Star. Three other players have also made their All-Star debut as the youngest players of their times. This is a review of all these three players.

Jeff Skinner

Jeff Skinner of the Buffalo Sabres was one of the youngest players to play in an All-Star game. Drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes with the 7th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry, he made his All-Star game debut in 2011 when he was just 18 years and 257 days old. He was the youngest player of the 2010/11 NHL All-Star game.

Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane of the Detroit Red Wings is the second player to play an All-Star game as one of the youngest players. He made his All-Star Game debut when he was 20 years and 67 days old in 2009 as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jonathan Toews

Jonathan Toews is the third player to play an All-Star game as one of the youngest players. He made his All-Star game debut in 2009 when he was 20 years and 271 days old. He was a representative for the Chicago Blackhawks.
