Zach Hyman is a professional ice hockey player currently playing as a forward for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, Hyman was drafted as the 123rd overall pick in the 2010 NHL entry level draft by the Florida Panthers. However, his rights were were later transfered to the Toronto Maple Leafs after the Panthers and Hyman were unable to agree on a contract. Hyman soon became a mainstay for the Maple Leafs before his departure in 2021.
Prior to that, Hyman played for the Hamilton Red Wings, where he was a leading scorer and team captain. Moreover, he earned numerous accolades, including the CJHL Player of the Year Award and the OJHL's Most Gentlemanly Player while there. His jersey was also displayed in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
