Delving further into his career, Parekh was selected 19th overall in the 2022 OHL Draft by the Saginaw Spirit and broke records for most goals by a 16-year-old defenseman. His exploits led him to CHL All-Rookie Team and the OHL First All-Rookie Team selections while earning accolades such as the Max Kaminsky Trophy for OHL Defenceman of the Year and the CHL Defenceman of the Year Award.
