Maxwell Philip Holt, born on March 12, 1987, in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an American volleyball player. He comes from a sports-oriented family. His parents are Kim and Angie Holt. Holt has three siblings: sister Megan and brothers Nick and Sam, Sam also plays professional volleyball.

Standing at 6 feet 9 inches (2.05 m), Holt has made a name for himself as a middle blocker. He began at Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati before playing college volleyball at Pennsylvania State University from 2006 to 2009. During his time at Penn State, Holt won the 2008 NCAA National Championship and was twice named AVCA First Team All-American.

Holt's professional career has spanned multiple countries, including Italy, Russia, and China. He joined the U.S. National Team in 2009 and has since become a key player, winning medals in international competitions. His achievements include a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, gold medals in the 2014 World League and 2015 World Cup, and multiple accolades as Best Middle Blocker in various FIVB tournaments.
