Simone Biles teared up following an emotional speech and a special gesture from teammate Jocelyn Roberson in Detroit, the last stop of the Gold Over America Tour. Since returning after a long hiatus in 2023, Biles has amassed all-around titles at the US Classics, National Championships, and Paris Games before stepping onto the GOAT.
Biles snagged four medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her accolades in her third Games included three gold medals, one coming in the all-around category, one in the vault, and one in the team competition. Her Olympic campaign ended with a silver medal in the floor exercise, behind Brazilian rival Rebeca Andrade, on August 3, 2024.
Biles extended her momentum to the Gold Over America Tour to perform across 30 American cities. At the last tour stop in Michigan, her teammates gathered around her on the Little Caesars Arena stage to celebrate the 11-time Olympic medalist’s contribution.
Roberson took the lead on behalf of her teammates and offered a bouquet to Biles, accompanied by a speech:
"From the girls, from your teammates, we love you and we can't wait for you to start a new future."
This made the Texas native emotional and she hugged her younger counterpart.
“Thank you so much, Detroit. Stay golden. Bye,” Simone Biles said.
The GOAT gymnasts also performed on the final night of America's Got Talent in September 2024.
Simone Biles took her GOAT teammates out for dinner

After Simone Biles was showered with love from her teammates during the Gold Over America Tour, the gymnastics star reciprocated the gesture, taking her teammates out for dinner in Detroit, Michigan on the tour's final night.
The 27-year-old sat at a table with top American male and female gymnasts. Yul Moldauer shared a picture of the outing on his Instagram story.

In an interview with NBC News in September, Biles shared how she and her teammates always had each other's back.
"I feel like what we have out here is really more of a brotherhood and a sisterhood. We’re watching out for one another, but we’re also having fun and giving everyone their flowers because we all had such an amazing time in Paris. To celebrate that success with one another, as well as the crowd, is truly a blessing," Simone Biles said.
After the tour, Biles also expressed excitement about reuniting with her husband, Jonathan Owens.
