Breanna Stewart and her Mist BC squad made their debut in the league she co-founded, Unrivaled, on Friday night. The three-time WNBA champion tried to lead her team to the win in the first-ever Unrivaled game against Lunar Owls, the team defended by her former teammate and co-founder Napheesa Collier.
Fittingly, Stewart scored the first bucket in Unrivaled history. Both teams exchanged buckets and scored from different spots on the court, with the Mist ultimately winning the first quarter 20-19.
She was subbed out after picking up two personal fouls, finishing the first quarter with two points.
The second quarter was close too, with the Mist winning again by only one point. They entered halftime up 46-44, leaving everything open for the final part of the matchup. Stewart kept struggling in the second period, turning the ball over and picking more personal fouls, putting herself in a complex position.

The third quarter started with Stewart making one of two free throw attempts, adding two more points to her account. Her talent to grab rebounds was still on full display and he made another two-point shot at 4:08 to give her team a 54-49 lead.
The Mist continued dominating in the third quarter, winning the period 27-23 to enter the final quarter with a relatively comfortable advantage. That said, they couldn't cash in on their lead and were dominated by Lunar Owls. They won the fourth quarter 17-7, reaching the 84-point mark necessary to win this matchup.
Breanna Stewart didn't have the best night scoring-wise, but she tried to impact the game in different ways. She made two of six field goal attempts, went 0-from-5 from beyond the arc and only made one of two free throw attempts. This was a terrific first game, but it didn't go Mist's way. They are now 0-1 to start the season, with Stewart owing fans after such a poor outing on the offensive end.

While saying she was happy that Clark wasn't living with fear anymore, Stewart mentioned that the arena and more spots are full of security and players were instructed not to post anything in real time.
