Unrivaled co-founder Breanna Stewart and the Mist BC looked to grab their first win of the inaugural season but were spoiled as the Satou Sabally-led Phantom BC snatched the victory 74-69 for their first win.
Stewart led Mist with 27 points and 10 rebounds. She added three assists and two steals on 8-for-17 shooting. Rickea Jackson chipped in 24 points.
On the other end, Sabally and Brittney Griner each scored 29 points to deliver Phantom its first Unrivaled win.
After a winless opening week, both teams raced for their first victory. On opening night, Mist lost 84-80 to the Napheesa Collier-led Lunar Owls BC, and in their second game, they lost 63-43 to the Laces BC.
Despite dropping to 0-3, Stewart registered double-double performances in every game. The three-time WNBA champion leads her team in rebounding through the first two games at 13.5 rpg.
Jackson, Courtney Vandersloot, and Stewart started the game for the short-handed Mist. DiJonai Carrington and Jewell Loyd sat out Friday's game.
At the end of the first quarter, Mist led 24-20. Stewart had nine points and three rebounds on 3-for-6 shooting. She also had an assist and a steal. Jackson led the charge for the Mist with 11 points.
In the second quarter, Stewart scored four points and grabbed four rebounds, bringing her totals at the half to 13 points and seven rebounds. Mist still leads 41-36. On the other end, Sabally led Phantom in scoring with 18 points but already had four fouls before the break.
Stewart grabbed her 10th rebound in the third frame to register her third double-double performance this season. Heading into the untimed final quarter, Phantom has regained the lead, 62-57.
Towards the end of the game, Stewart and the Mist trimmed the lead to three, 72-69, before Griner sealed the win for Phantom with a dagger jumper.

Breanna Stewart shares a conversation that inspired Unrivaled
Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, co-founders of Unrivaled, appeared in an interview with "Boardroom" on Jan. 18. The New York Liberty star revealed what inspired the 3-on-3 professional women's basketball league.
According to Stewart, the idea came from Collier's husband and Unrivaled President Alex Bazzell. Bazzell proposed the idea that Stewart and Collier be co-founders.
"I was like, this is amazing because I’ve played overseas a lot. I’ve been in China, Russia and Turkey, and now a way to really be home and be appreciated," Stewart said (Timestamp: 1:35). "The timing is also very perfect for where we are in women’s sports."
In its inaugural season, the league has received support and investments from several notable personalities. As Stewart noted, Unrivaled comes at a time when the popularity of women's basketball is on an upward trend.
