Before her professional career in the WNBA and overseas, Parker emerged as a basketball prodigy at Naperville Central High School in Illinois and went on to become a superstar at the University of Tennessee from 2004 to 2008. Parker then enjoyed a Hall-of-Fame 13-year career with the LA Sparks, where she led the team to the WNBA championship in 2016 and earned the WNBA Finals MVP Award. After her time in Los Angeles, she spent two seasons with the Chicago Sky, where she helped them win their first-ever WNBA title in 2021. She later played one season with the Las Vegas Aces, winning another championship as a veteran player off-the-bench and solidifying her legacy as one of women's basketball’s greatest winners.

Throughout her WNBA career, Parker achieved numerous accolades. Candace Parker won two WNBA MVP Awards in 2008 and 2013. She was selected to six All-WNBA teams and five All-Star teams. Parker also became the first WNBA player in history to win both Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season and she was the second player to dunk in a WNBA game. In addition to her WNBA success, Parker won two Olympic gold medals with Team USA in 2008 and 2012.
