Born in Kent, Washington, Courtney Vandersloot has been one of the best point guards in the WNBA's history. She has over 2,800 assists and is ranked second among all-time assists leaders. In her junior year, Vandersloot averaged 14.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 9.4 assists, and 3.6 steals per game, shooting 47.2% from the field. She repeated the double-double by winning both the WCC Player of the Year and the WCC Tournament MVP.
In her senior year, Vandersloot won the WCC Player of the Year and the WCC Tournament MVP for the third consecutive time. Courtney Vanderslootended her career with the second-highest assists made in Women's college basketball history and was only one of three women to have 1000+ assists (others being Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu).
