Courtney Vandersloot is a professional women’s basketball player in the WNBA and several other international leagues. She went to Gonzaga University and she set a record as the first female and the first male Division I player to score 2,000 points and 1,000 assists in a career. Vandersloot’s outstanding performance made her to be awarded several awards including the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award and the Nancy Lieberman Award.

Selected 3rd overall in the 2011 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky, Vandersloot became an important player for the team. She guided the Sky to their first WNBA title in 2021 and has been a WNBA All-Star five times. She has been a playmaker and has ranked among the best in the league in terms of the number of assists. In 2023, Vandersloot signed for the New York Liberty and in 2024, she was a key of the Liberty team that won WNBA championship.

Courtney Vandersloot is famous for her camaraderie and relationship with WNBA player Allie Quigley. Both of them were teammates in the Slovakian Championship but played for different teams and later joined the Chicago Sky team. Their friendship evolved from basketball and they started dating in late 2013. After being in a relationship for some time, Vandersloot decided to pop the question to Quigley with a retro-styled engagement ring at a small resort in Zion, as per Biographyset. She was in Joliet Catholic Academy where she started her basketball career and was named WBCA All-American. After her high school basketball, Quigley went on to play for DePaul University’s DePaul Blue Demons from 2004 to 2008. In her college, she assisted her team to the second round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament in 2005 and the Sweet Sixteen in 2006.

Quigley started her professional career in the WNBA in 2008 and later on established herself in the Chicago Sky. She is a solid shooter and has been awarded the WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Quigley was instrumental in the Chicago Sky’s first WNBA Championship in 2021.
