Courtney Monae Williams is a professional basketball player, playing for the Minnesota Lynx as of August 2024. She began her high school basketball career playing for the Indians at Charlton County High School. During her freshman year in college, Williams averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.88 assists in over 33 games playing his freshman for the South Florida Bulls. In her sophomore year, she was named to the All-Conference First Team and received an honorable mention for the All-American team due to her outstanding performance, averaging 16.3 points per game with a rebound rate of 7.5 and 2.4 assists. By her final year, she had scored 763 points, which secured her the number 8 spot among all the Division I players. Williams was selected for the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.

Williams made her WNBA debut in 2016 when she was selected as the 8th overall pick by the Phoenix Mercury. Later, she was traded to the Connecticut Sun, where she played from 2016 to 2019. In her last season playing with the Sun, she was honored as the WNBA Player of the Week. During her time with the Connecticut Sun, she also signed with the Perth Lynx of the WNBL on August 10, 2017, for the 2017-2018 season. In the WNBA, Williams was traded to the Atlanta Dream in 2020 but was later released and re-signed by the Connecticut Sun for the 2022 season. She then signed a contract with Chicago Sky on February 4, 2023. The following year, on January 31, 2024, she signed a two-year guaranteed contract with the Minnesota Lynx. Williams has received many awards throughout her career, including the AAC first team in 2014, and she was added to the watchlist for the Wooden Award, the Dawn Staley Award, the Wade Trophy, and the Naismith Trophy in the 2014-2015 season. She also received an AP All-America honorable mention in 2015 and was named AAC First Team and AAC Scholar-Athlete in 2016.
