Haley Jones is a professional American basketball player born on May 23, 2001, in Santa Cruz, California, United States. As of September 2024, she is playing as a guard for the Atlanta Dream in the 2024 WNBA season. Jones began her WNBA career when she was selected as the 6th overall pick by the Dream in the 2023 WNBA Draft. She was the Naismith Prep Player of the Year and the Morgan Wootten Player of the Year in 2019. As of September 2024, she has played 76 games in her WNBA career, scoring 292 points, grabbing 179 rebounds, and making 172 assists.

Jones played her first major tournament when she represented the United States in the FIBA Under-17 World Cup, helping her team win the championship. In 2021, she also played in the FIBA AmeriCup, where the U.S. won gold.

Jones attended Stanford University in 2019 and joined the Stanford Cardinal Women’s Basketball team. She played four seasons for Stanford. In her senior year, she played 35 games, averaging 16 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. During her collegiate career, she played 118 games, scoring 1,535 points and grabbing 889 rebounds. She won the NCAA Championship in 2021 and was named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player. She was a three-time Pac-12 Champion (2021–2023), won the Pac-12 Most Outstanding Player award in 2022, and was a WBCA All-American in 2022.

Haley Jones High School

Jones attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, California, from 2015 to 2019. She played 116 games in high school, scoring 2,127 points. She graduated becoming the school's career scoring leader and was named High School Sports California State Player of the Year by USA Today.
