Chelsea Gray is an American professional basketball player playing for the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA. In the 2015 season, Gray made her WNBA debut coming off the bench. Gray would average 6.9 points for the whole season. Before the 2016 WNBA season, Gray was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks. Paired up with Candace Parker, Kristi Toliver, and Nneka Ogwumike, Gray came as a spark plug off the bench averaging 5.9 points per game. The Sparks won the 2016 WNBA championship, giving Gray her first ring. In Game 5 of the 2016 WNBA finals, Gray made headlines by scoring 11 straight points in a pivotal do-or-die game.

Gray played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, where she was an integral part of the squad. In her junior season, she dislocated her right knee causing her to miss most of her junior year. In her senior year, she injured the same right knee again causing her to miss the season. Despite this, she was selected by the Connecticut Suns with the 11th overall in the 2014 WNBA draft. She played for several international teams, including Hapoel Rishon LeZion in 2015, Uni Girona in 2015, and Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi from 2015 to 2017. Gray also played for Botaş SK (2017–2018), Çukurova Basketbol in 2019, Fenerbahçe in 2020, and returned to Uni Girona in 2020-2021, gaining valuable experience on the international stage before joining the Los Angeles Sparks and later the Las Vegas Aces.

Chelsea Gray All-Star Appearances

Chelsea Gray has been an All-Star 6 times in her career as of January 2025. After her record-breaking finals performance in 2016, Gray was moved to the starting point guard spot for the Sparks. This helped her increase her production as she was named to the all-star team for the first time. This trend continued as she made the 2018 and 2019 all-star team as well. After her departure from the Sparks, Gray made an immediate impact with the Aces, making the all-star game in 2021.

In 2021, Gray moved to the Las Vegas Aces in free agency joining forces with A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum. This paid off big times as the Aces won back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023 and won the Finals MVP in 2022, giving Gray three rings.
