Kayla Renae McBride is a shooting guard in the WNBA. Born on June 25, 1992, in Erie, Pennsylvania, U.S. McBride won the WNBA Commissioner's Cup Champion in 2024. She attended Villa Maria Academy, a Roman Catholic high school in Erie, Pennsylvania, and played under head coach Scott Dibble for the Victors.

McBride graduated from the University of Notre Dame and played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Women's Basketball team. She was honored with a spot in the WNBA All-Rookie Team in 2014. She was selected for the McDonald's All-American in 2010, earned the First-team All-Big East honor in 2013, was named the AP Third-team All-American in 2013, and received the AP and USBWA First-team All-American honor in 2014. McBride was selected for the WNBA All-Star four times in 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2024. During the 2024 WNBA season, Kayla McBride averaged 15.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game while shooting 42.0% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range as per Basketball Reference. In 2025, McBride also started playing for Laces BC in "Unrivaled," a women’s 3x3 basketball league created by fellow WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

Kayla McBride has been playing for the Minnesota Lynx since 2021, as of January 2025. Earlier, she had played for the Las Vegas Aces, also known as the San Antonio Stars, from 2014 to 2020. She was the third overall pick by the Stars in the 2014 WNBA Draft and played six years for the Aces.

McBride also played overseas for Uniqa Sopron, Nadezhda Orenburg, Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi, UMMC Ekaterinburg, and Fenerbahçe, competing in the EuroCup, Hungarian League, Russian League, Turkish Super League, and Turkish Cup, winning numerous championships and accolades. She competed in the 2010 Under-18 Women's Basketball Championship in Colorado Springs for the USA Women's Basketball Team and won the gold medal.
