Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever reacted to her 2024 draftmate Cameron Brink's engagement announcement on Monday in Paris. Brink said yes to her longtime boyfriend Ben Felter, who's a part of the Stanford Cardinals rowing team. They have been together for three years after meeting each other on campus.
In a post on Instagram, Brink shared a bunch of photos of herself with Felter in Paris. The LA Sparks star announced that she said yes to her boyfriend and that they are now an engaged couple.
"Yes in every lifetime 🤍♾️," Brink wrote in the captions.
Cameron Brink was greeted by several of her peers in the WNBA, including Caitlin Clark, who sent smiling face with heart-eyes emojis in the comments section. Clark and Brink were two of the biggest stars in college basketball over the past couple of years.
They came in together to the WNBA in this year's draft, with Clark being picked first overall by the Indiana Fever. She was followed by Brink, who was selected by the LA Sparks. Both struggled to start their careers offensively, making adjustments to the physicality of the pros.
Clark got a hold of her rhythm two months into the season, while Brink was solid defensively for the Sparks. Her rookie campaign quickly ended after suffering a torn ACL on her left knee 15 games into the season. She underwent surgery and is expected to be in full recovery after nine to 12 months.
Despite the injury, Brink still supported her teammates on the sidelines. She also finished her third annual "Next 22" basketball camp for girls in her hometown of Beaverton, Oregon.
It's a way for Cameron Brink to give back to the community, helping inspire girls just like her role models did back then.
