Caitlin Clark's BF's brother Jack McCaffery deletes one-word message to Cameron Brink after engagement comment

LA Sparks forward Cameron Brink had a big year in 2024. She was drafted second to the WNBA, but her rookie season was cut short just 15 games in after tearing her ACL. Then, in September, Brink and Ben Felter announced that they were engaged.

Brink certainly had a lot to look back on as the new year entered, which was reflected in a comment she made on Instagram on Wednesday. The Sparks forward expressed how she felt about the previous year by commenting "best year ever" under a post.

Several minutes after her comment, Butler Bulldogs player Jack McCaffery dropped a one-word message to her: "hey." However, it didn't last long as he seemed to have deleted it immediately.

Jack McCaffery is the younger brother of Connor McCaffery. Connor was previously an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers but later joined Butler's coaching staff. He is also the boyfriend of Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

Jack is the third McCaffery brother to have ties to Butler. Aside from Connor coaching there, their other brother Patrick is playing for Butler for his final year of college eligibility. Before joining Butler, Patrick played for Iowa. Meanwhile, the McCaffery brother's father, Fran McCaffery, is the coach of the Iowa men's team.

Cameron Brink answered questions regarding some of the comments about her engagement in a prank

When Cameron Brink announced her engagement to Ben Felter on Instagram, it resulted in some hilarious comments from some of her followers.

Some of the comments followed a theme of people saying they fell over in public or witnessed someone falling over. Other comments joked about not enjoying the news or how it "should have been me."

The hilarious comments became the topic of discussion when Felter pranked Brink in a news conference hosted by children. During her conversation with the children, she was asked about the engagement. Brink shared her story of how the engagement went and how she had no clue it was happening.

Afterward, one of the kids pointed out the different memes and reactions to her engagement. Brink was then asked what these comments were about.

"I don't know," Brink said (Timestamp: 3:06). "Honestly, I feel like it's just this, like, ongoing joke."

The same kid who asked about the reactions then talked about some of her favorite reactions to Brink's engagement announcement. While all this was happening, Brink's fiance was hiding somewhere in the background watching and laughing.

Aside from talking about her engagement, the LA Sparks forward also discussed a lot of Star Wars-related topics. At some point, one of the kids asked her to imitate the sound that a Wookie makes.

She was also asked about her tunnel outfits which she wears before games and she discussed which one was her favorite. To conclude the video, one of the children asked Cameron Brink to help build a LEGO Millennium Falcon. Her fiance also came out to help.
