Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston made her Unrivaled debut for Team Vinyl on Friday. Boston's pregame attire drew teasing from Fever teammate Erica Wheeler on Saturday.
Boston is known for not participating actively in the WNBA ritual of players getting seriously dressed up before games. But she made an exception before Vinyl BC's matchup against Rose BC.
"So @aa_boston you dressed up for the tunnel in Miami huh?" Wheeler wrote on X.
Boston wore a cropped black top with a white oversized short-sleeve button-up shirt. She complemented that with white straight-cut pants, black open-toe strappy heels and large hoop earrings.
Fans are now anticipating the start of the new WNBA season to see if Boston sticks to this routine. Regardless, fans of the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year were excited with her team's first over Angel Reese's Rose BC.
Aliyah Boston responds to teammates dig at her Unrivaled pregame fit
Aliyah Boston responded when Erica Wheeler jokingly took a shot at her for her pregame outfit.
"Be ready for this szn. I’ll be giving effort I promise," Boston wrote.
Before making her Unrivaled debut, Boston spoke to IndyStar's Chloe Peterson about the impact of the tournament on her development.
"Allowing me to work in space, and allowing me to just be confident in the stuff I’ve worked on this offseason, I think that’s the biggest thing,” Boston said. “Knowing that I put in the work, and knowing that I put in time, and knowing those things will execute.”
Boston's Vinyl BC defeated Rose BC 79-73. She recorded six points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Next, Vinyl will face Phantom BC on Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
