WNBA legend Sue Bird has made up her mind and is voting for Kamala Harris to become the next President of the United States. She is also encouraging fellow Americans to do so but make an informed decision.
With 10 days to go before election day, the four-time WNBA champion moved to rally behind the current Vice-President, who is locked in a close fight with former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nov. 5 elections.
Sue Bird took to Instagram on Saturday to make her choice known just as she stirred up support for Harris and election participation, writing:
"10 days until Election Day, and it's time to make your choice heard! I'm voting for Kamala Harris and many more. It's not just about national elections -- local elections shape the everyday life of our communities. From school boards to city councils, the decision made close to home matter just as much. Don't sit this one out! Make a plan, get informed, and show up for the future we want. Let's do this!"

Both Harris and Trump are making a last-ditch push for their respective bids as the campaign period hits the homestretch.
Harris stepped up to the plate after incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden decided to withdraw from his re-election bid. Republican Trump, meanwhile, is seeking to return to the U.S. presidency and continue what he started during his term as the 45th U.S. president from 2017 to 2021.
Sue Bird loves rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese
While Sue Bird is active with her politics and social activism, she also remains engaged in the affairs of the WNBA, which served as her home for 20 years. She has been keeping tabs on the goings-on in the league, including the rivalry between rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, which she said she loves.
Speaking on the Open Run with Rachel Nichols back in August, the 13-time WNBA All-Star shared her thoughts on the Clark-Reese rivalry, highlighting how it is a great thing for the WNBA.
Sue Bird said (via Sports Illustrated):
"I love it. I think basketball and the women's game, we've had rivalries for foreever. We've had competitiveness, we've had trash-talk, you name it, It just wasn't getting the looks, people weren't covering it."
She added:
"So the fact that these two, they literally stole the college stage, both with their play and with their trash talk. And they're taking it into the WNBA, it's just going to mean good things for the rest of the landscape of women's basketball. So I'm all for [the rivalry], I think it's great. They've come in and they've taken over."
The rivalry between Clark and Reese and their corresponding plays hogged the limelight for much of the recent WNBA season, poking the interest of fans. It resulted in a marked increase in gate receipts and TV viewership league-wide.
