Golden State Valkyries forward Kate Martin made her Unrivaled debut with Team Laces on Saturday. Footwear expert Nick DePaula noted on X that Martin, who is a sneaker free agent, wore Steph Curry-branded shoes during the game.
DePaula's tweet sparked a lot of responses, with fans urging Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry to consider adding Martin to the list of athletes wearing his sneaker line.
"Kate with the Curry brand would be so sick… with the double double off the bench today too," a fan commented.
Others shared the same sentiment.
"Curry needs to scoop Kate lol she’s in the Bay Area now," a fan tweeted.
"@StephenCurry30 you know what to do," a fan wrote.
"@StephenCurry30 get the pen ready!" another fan commented.
Some added that it makes a lot of sense as she and Curry are together in the Bay Area. Martin was drafted by the Golden State Valkyries from the Las Vegas Aces in the expansion draft on Dec. 6.
"Kate getting a deal with a brand would be so cool. She deserves all the good things (and she’s super marketable!)," a fan wrote.
"Not a coincidence she is playing in golden state now right so he'll doesn't hurt to at least ask. lol," a fan commented.
Martin had a strong debut in the Unrivaled tournament. She recorded a double-double of 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds as the Laces won over Phantom BC 86-48.
She also added two steals, one assist and two 3-pointers. Laces will be back in action on Monday at 9:30 p.m. EST against Mist BC.

She reacted to the win with a post an Instagram story on Saturday.
