Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull had her best game in the offseason, contributing big to the Rose BC win in their third game of the Unrivaled league. Hull put up 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field, along with three assists and three rebounds in just 10 minutes on Saturday to lead Rose over the Mist BC 71-66.

After her impressive breakout performance, Lexie's mom, Jaime Hull, gave her flowers on social media. Jaime wrote an inspiring message to her daughter that touched on her lack of playing minutes in the team’s first two games.

“Heck yeah!!!! Way to keep your head up and show what ya got when you got the minutes!! Keep fighting @lexiehulll ….. #proudmom @IndianaFever,” she wrote in a repost of Hull’s stats.

Hull came off underwhelming performances in the team’s first two outings. She just had three points, one rebound and one assist in six minutes of playing time in her debut game in Unrivaled. She followed it up with a three-minute performance with zero points.

Her third game became the outlier as Hull proved she could hang with the players in the new 3-on-3 league. She made her mark in timely cuts and sheer will to score to lift the team to its first win in three games.

Hull also had the same predicament in her third season with the Indiana Fever in the WNBA. She averaged just 19.7 minutes per game and put up 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Hull only started 11 of the 34 games she played for the Fever last season, as she became one of the relievers for reigning Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.

Lexie Hull receives praise from Rose coach after impressive showing

Lexie Hull’s performance left Rose BC coach Nola Henry impressed following the win over the Mist. Henry named Hull the Rose of the Game after her breakout outing, signifying that she was the best player in the victory.

Henry then praised Hull’s impact in the game despite limited minutes in the first two games of the tournament.

“She finds ways to make an impact," Henry said in an interview via Sports Illustrated. "It may not always show up on the stat sheet, but it definitely matters when it comes to the things she can do… to help you ultimately win basketball games.
"Lexie, that’s just who she is, that’s just what she does at every level, everywhere she’s at."

Hull is expected to be a part of the rotation in the next Urivaled games this year. The Rose squad includes fellow WNBA stars Angel Reese, Kahleah Cooper, Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes and Azura Stevens.
