When WNBA fans got wind of a new league called Unrivaled, they immediately wanted to know if Caitlin Clark would be playing.

Clark won't be suiting up for Unrivaled, but that hasn't stopped fans from clamoring for her appearance.

This was made clear when netizens reacted to a clip of Clark's Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull having fun with other players on the Unrivaled roster.

The clip shows Hull pulling out some dance moves and messing with Natasha Cloud and other players who have signed with the full-court 3x3 league.

"This is where @CaitlinClark22 should be. Smh," commented one regretful netizen.
"When I tell you I have TEARS in my eyes," bemoaned another netizen.

Some fans generously complimented Hull, who plays for Rose BC:

"I love lexie she’s just a princess and just has her own magical world going on so cute," said one online user.
"We live in Lexi’s world," commented another.

Other netizens couldn't help but notice how playful Cloud was as she dragged Hull into the camera frame:

"Friendship ended with Sophie Cunningham. Now Lexie Hull is my best friend," another netizen wrote in a Photoshopped meme.

Caitlin Clark turns down offer to play in Unrivaled's first season

Though Unrivaled co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart were able to secure the commitment of high-profile players like Sabrina Ionescu and Angel Reese, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year did not come on board.

Clark explained the reason for her inability to join Unrivaled's inaugural season back in her December 2024 interview with TIME magazine, which named her Athlete of the Year:

"I didn't rule out doing it in the future, but this year is just not the best for me," Clark told TIME. "It’s going to be good for me to do my own thing and have my own space. I kind of want to just stay out of the spotlight."

After making the NCAA Finals two years in a row and helping the Indiana Fever to a playoff run, Clark has opted to rest and stay out of the public eye for a short while. Her loyal fans will hang on to the part where she stated that she "didn't rule out" a future Unrivaled appearance.
