One of the two Unrivaled games for Monday night in Miami is the Vinyl BC vs Lunar Owls BC matchup. The Vinyl are looking to hand the Lunar Owls their first-ever defeat. Napheesa Collier, one of the league's co-founders, has her team begin the season at 3-0.
The Vinyl's starting three consist of Rhyne Howard, Arike Ogunbowale and Aliyah Boston. Dearica Hamby was ruled out of the game with an injury, so Boston started in her place. The Lunar Owls countered with Collier, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Allisha Gray.
After a close first quarter, the Lunar Owls started to dominate the game in the second quarter. The Vinyl tried their best to make it close, and they succeeded until a late run in the third period gave the Lunar Owls a double-digit lead. They held on to get the 67-57 win and stay undefeated.
Napheesa Collier led the way for the Lunar Owls, finishing with 19 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. Allisha Gray also had 19 points with five rebounds and three assists, while Skylar Diggins-Smith added 16 points, three rebounds and four dimes.
On the other hand, Arike Ogunbowale had a near triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. She struggled shooting the ball, but made her teammates better. Rhyne Howard was the only played to not score in double figures due to foul trouble the entire game.

In the first quarter, Arike Ogunbowale had seven points for Vinyl BC. Napheesa Collier went shot-for-shot against her with seven points as well. After the first seven minutes, Lunar Owls BC took a 19-14 lead.
The second quarter remained close early before the Lunar Owls started building up their lead. Aliyah Boston and Jordin Canada kept the Vinyl afloat with Howard in foul trouble. The Lunar Owls starters all reached double-digit points at the half, with the team ahead 41-33.
It was the same story in the third quarter, with the Vinyl trying their best to keep the game close. Howard remained in foul trouble, but their bench stepped up. However, a late third quarter run by the Lunar Owls made things harder in the final period.
The lead grew to as many as 16 points as the Vinyl failed to hand the Lunar Owls their first loss of the season. Napheesa Collier was simply fantastic for her team, finishing with a double-double plus three blocks.
