Phantom BC vs Mist BC opened up the first day of Week 2 of the 2025 Unrivaled season. Two teams without a single win in the first matchweek of the competition entered the arena with a clear goal: secure the first dub of the campaign.

Phantom couldn't have Sabrina Ionescu, who was out due to personal reasons. As for Mist, neither DiJonai Carrington nor Jewell Loyd were available for the duel.

Phantom sent Satou Sabally, Katie Lou Samuelson and Natasha Cloud as the starting three against Breanna Stewart, Courtney Vandersloot and Rickea Jackson.

Brittney Griner and Satou Sabally combined for 58 points (29 apiece) to lead Phantom to a 74-69 win, the first of the season for their team. BG put on a show with 29 points, 28 rebounds and 18 assists under her belt. Breanna Stewart's 27 points and Rickea Jackson's 24 units weren't enough for Mist.

Phantom BC vs Mist BC game recap

Phantom BC vs Mist BC started with the latter being aggressive, taking shots near the rim but also stretching the floor while Phantom looked lost on defense. As the first quarter continued, Phantom came back, led by Satou Sabally. They went from a 20-9 deficit to a 20-18 in the final two minutes.

The first period ended 24-20 in favor of Mist, with Rickea Jackson dropping 11 points. Phantom showed they wouldn't go down without a fight with Sabally scoring 10 units.

The second quarter started with both teams exchanging buckets again, but Mist entered halftime with a 41-36 lead. Phantom woke up in the third quarter and took the 47-45 lead after Satou Sabally hit a two-point shot with 4:19 left on the clock.

With 1:31 left on the clock, they took a 60-51 lead, forcing Mist to call a timeout. Mist tried to retake the lead, but Phantom held onto their 62-57 advantage ahead of the fourth quarter.

After the winning score was set at 73, Phantom went on a 6-0 run that brought them closer to victory. Despite Breanna Stewart's heroics in trying to carry her team to victory, Brittney Griner called the game for Phantom.

Mist return to action tomorrow against Rose at 6 p.m. ET while Phantom takes on Lunar Owls at 7 p.m. ET.
